Contact Lenses
At Insight Opticians we are able to fit a wide range of contact lenses based on the various needs of our patients. Unlike some high street chains we will not persuade you to change to a brand of lenses that we have chosen as our main supplier.
As clinical consultants and a centre for clinical trials we have a healthy ongoing relationship with all the main suppliers.
This means all the most recent innovations in contact lens materials and design are available to us as soon as they are available in the UK - and in some instances before!
Which lens for you?
Sometimes this is an easy choice but in other cases the choice may be determined by a number of factors depending on how often you wish to wear lenses, your spectacle prescription, eye dryness and your lifestyle.
The lenses available may be full or occasional use daily disposables, 30 day continuous wear, combined with either a need to correct astigmatism or even to use a bifocal contact lens (all of which we have conducted trials on over the past few years).
We also continue to fit a full range of hard gas permeable lenses for either existing wearers or more complex prescriptions, including OrthoK.
Orthokeratology or Orthok is a non surgical procedure to reshape the cornea – the front surface of the eye.
It is a vision therapy that provides clear comfortable vision, without the need to wear spectacles or contact lenses through the day.
